bad idea to paint the driveway with regular paint, may I suggest a product they sell for garage floors, it's a water based epoxy coating. It will wear like iron and resist your typical driveway stains. check your local automotive parts stores. If you paint it with regular paint it will start to wear the second you drive on it. and the sun will bake it off in a couple of years. If you are installing the water based epoxy product use 40 cents (US currency) per square foot for the labor and have the client purchase the materials, that way you are not out of pocket if they don't like the look.
