What is the best color to paint the pine trim on a cedar house?

We tried a medium blue, which doesn't work. There's a good deal of trim, so the right color is important. What is the best color to paint the pine trim on a cedar house?
play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family %26amp; color name, the ';painted'; rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a dark green like ';english ivy'; (# 2935) might look nice.

You can also take a photo of your house %26amp; upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions %26amp; they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like. What is the best color to paint the pine trim on a cedar house?
Tell me more about the house. Is the cedar stained, if so what color? What color is the roof? Is it in a wooded setting or in town? I haven't seen your blue but I will venture to say it made it look like a bit of a doll house. Avoid crisp whites, it will have the effect of making your house look like it is made of gingerbread. Something reflecting nature would work well, forest greens and cedar are classic. Muted colors such as those found in nature also are great. Nature has very little bright color, look carefully at tree bark, stones, sand...all very muted. My point is that your home is sided in cedar and so it is all about the wood. Keep that theme going by painting the trim in a ';natural'; color. Muted greys, soft rich browns, subtle greens...Hope this helps!

Best,

Rodd
