How do you get rid of dried paint on (real) hardwood floors?

This paint has probably been there for a couple years. Can I remove it somehow without having to use a machine to sand it all down? How do you get rid of dried paint on (real) hardwood floors?
Try ';Goof Off,'; a mild chemical solvent that works on all kinds of drips and stains. Smells nasty as hell, though. You can get it at any hardware or supply store. How do you get rid of dried paint on (real) hardwood floors?
You could try stripper, messy. Your best bet is to rent a floor sander. It will 3 grits of sandpaper. Coarse to cut the topcoat,

medium to smooth out the scratches left by the coarse paper and fine to prep for the finish coat. You may want to use a super fine before the finish coat. Sanders can be very aggressive, so be careful. Get some bids by professional re-finishers, it may not be that unreasonable. You still have to rent the sander, buy the sandpaper and finish materials. Not to mention the time and inconvenience you may have to deal with.
First try gently scraping off all the old paint. Then with a cotton swab apply a product called ';Oops';. Works wonders, good luck.
the best product to use is called GOOF- OFF works great!!!!!!!! home depot have Ben a user for many years
