How can i remove touch up paint from a living room carpet?

the hubby was using it in his new air gun, and instead of going out on the deck he used it inside, and since there was nothing laid on the floor, i have a blue spot on the almost white carpet. Since this is an apartment, i need to get the stain out or we will not get our money back!!!!!!! Help please! How can i remove touch up paint from a living room carpet?
If it麓s emulsion then it should come out with warm water. use a sponge, work inwards from the stain , this way you won麓t spread the stain further. Otherwise use a small amount of turps, Then wash with warm water and a little mild soapHow can i remove touch up paint from a living room carpet?
If the carpet is almost white, try to use some very diluted clorox, or vinegar. The type of paint that they use to touch up a car is an oil base paint... so paint remover... but that may make the carpet darker in that area.

Hair spray may work. it removes inks...
I don't know if it'll work on paint or not but I had couple of huge stains on my living room carpet and I got them out with Thieves household cleaner. It works wonderful!! If you're interested you can check it out online at www.moldrx4u.com

Depends on if the paint is oil based? or is it water based? ...assuming that the paint has already dried by now, it may be quite difficult to remove...i would take a razor blade and spend some time trying to gently scrape off as much of the dried paint as possible, taking extra caution so you don't cut too much of the carpet fibers during the process...start with that, and then go from there...btw, just how big is this ';blue spot';??

Here's a link that has a few different ideas that you might want to try, depending on your situation...good luck! hope this helps.
When we moved in or house the builder had paint all over the place. they used a product called Goof -Off and it took the water base paint up fast and did not harm the color of the carpet. I found it in the paint section at Wal-Mart and HomDepot
Touching up paint on a car! That type paint is usually tough and not removable.

My suggestion is to patch the carpet since its a small spot. Take a swatch from a closet corner, cut out the stain from the carpet and plug the hole with the carpet from the closet. You can probably get better instructions by searching the web, but it can be done.
When I needed to remove overspray of paint from linoleum floors, I found that Painter's Pal worked great. It's available at Home Depot, Lowe's, WalMart, etc. It probably won't work if the paint is really old but it sounds like it's pretty fresh at your place. Whatever you decide to use, with any solvent based cleaner, be sure to test in an inconspicuous place first or the cure might be worse than the problem! Good luck.
have you tried repainting the carpet white?
