How do i find out the paint code for my car?

its on the ID plate. the same as the vin plate. there will be a heading PAINT it will just tell you a letter and the paint shop has a chart to look it upHow do i find out the paint code for my car?
the paint codes are usually under the bonnet on a aluminuim plate there is two one has chassis information the other paint codes etc . if you cant find the relevant information just write down all the information and ask instore for help they may also have colour charts that you can match codes with. usually the pre mixed paints dont match aas the codes are only relevant to the company making them. if you go to an auto paint shop they can make you an exact match paint into an aerosol canHow do i find out the paint code for my car?
look for your vin tag. most newer cars have the paint code listed on it. also look in the glove box some times they have a n options tag in there and it also should have the color code. or look in the tunk inder the floor mat you might find the tag there. different manufacturers locate these tags in different places.
It's actually most often on a paper label, or stencilled directly on, the inner wing under the bonnet: Most paint codes are three letters or similar: eg, My old BMW had '314' stencilled on the inner wing by the battery - this translates to 'Hellrot' (Red)
take your car to a bodyshop and they will show you where the paint code is and tell you what you need to get.
It's usually on a plate under the hood...without knowing what kind of car you have...there is no way to tell you just where it is.
Normally at most of the different car models, If you opened the hood at your left hand side you will find the ID plate, just read the paint code.
