What is the best way to paint over a chrome toilet roll holder?

Just repainted my ensuite bathroom and all the trim (towel rack, countertops, mirror frame, light switches, electricity outlet, air vent, fan, floor tiles, etc.) are all nice and white ... except for the toilet roll holder, which is a silver chrome colour.

It really stands out and looks ugly, and I'd like to have it match the rest of the room. Removing it isn't an option, as it's pretty much cemented into the wall, so I would like to paint over the chrome and make it white, like everything else, but I'm not sure what the best way to do so is. What kind of paint should I use? Do I need a primer? Should I sand down the toilet roll holder first?

Any advice greatly appreciated, thanks! What is the best way to paint over a chrome toilet roll holder?
First prime. Two coats if you can. Then spray paint. I did mine with a hammered finish spray paint. Has lasted 10 years. People are amazed when I tell them it's paint. What is the best way to paint over a chrome toilet roll holder?
You cant paint over it. Replace it with a white one.
Buy a new one. :)
USE 80 SAND PAPER AND BE SURE TO PUT PRIMER ON FIRST. THE KIND FOR METAL. AT THAT POINT YOU CAN PUT ANY TYPE OF PAINT ON YOU WANT, BUT THE TRUTH IS THAT IT WOULD BE CHEAPER TO BUY A NEW ONE

GOD BLESS
